What kind of media instatution might distrabute your media product and why?

At first we presumed that channel four or the BBC would show our film but after we looked closer at the film industry we realized that the audience it would attract tend to go to more independent cinemas. The BBC came up for us because of the peaky blinders influence that out OTS has. The BBC in the past have also been known to take on independent script writers and film makers. Short snippets of it could be shown as a trailer type of advertising.

After reviewing this I realize that the production is not similar to the BBC and the equipment that we filmed with would probably need to be of a higher quality.

To support a local area we could show the first viewing of our film in an independent cinema and make it into an event to create a larger hype around the film which would probably give it publicity. Attenders of the launch could dress up to suit the era. Pictures could then be taken and put into magazines and onto social media. This then could be used as advertisement if popular for a second viewing of the film. This would probably move to an art house cinema. For in Norwich it would be Cinema City. Its smaller than other cinemas for example Odeon and View which are also in Norwich. It also shows a lot of foreign films but in contrast huge films which are set to be award winners. For example War Horse and James Bond Skyfall. This is because the cinema genuinely attracts an older audience and is for serious film/cinema goers.

It could even be projected onto local terries houses in Norwich to support and enrich the creativity of the community . I would choose a street of terries houses to support the image of working class family's and because the film was shot in the same location.

If we decided that the film was far to small to actually launch on a location that we would have to hire, we could put it onto an independant short film site so that people would be able to stream it.
